| | |  | Welcome to Al Pisano's Art Studio! All of our products are handcrafted in Al's studio and under his direction. Al carves or sculpts the art and then we mold it which captures all the detail of the original. After the pieces are cast, we hand paint and apply a stain which is brushed on and wiped off. This stain gives each piece the dimension that Al created in his original bas relief art. We use a very durable lacquer paint so our pieces are not only unique and charming, but long lasting and weather resistant.
 
Al is an award winning artist who has been creating gift and home decor since 1992. Previous to that he was a commerical artist in New York City. He is a graduate of the School of Industrial Design and has worked in all aspects of commerical art--from advertising to publishing to packaging. Early on in his career he worked as a paste-up artist, then as an Art Director and eventually had his own studio where he created many award winning campaigns. After a trip to italy in 1978, Al felt inspired to try his hand at creating dimensional art and his first piece was a wood carving for Lord & Taylor. Since that time he has focused almost totally on carving and sculpting as his favorite mediums. He is a member of the Society of Illustrators in New York City. | | | | |
